Meet Our Founder
Chef Kristiahna Clark
Brown Girls Cook was born out of a need for a place where there is room for all brown girls to have a seat at the table! We wanted a space for women of color to shine, and share their culinary creativity. We are all about celebrating and highlighting one another, and our contributions to the food world. We are sharing recipes, food products, and the latest food news so you can stay up to date with what's happening with brown girls all over the world.
Our founder, Chef Kristiahna is pushing past the norms to form a new path in the culinary industry. She has always been known for her bright and infectious personality, and was a fan favorite on the TBS network’s first culinary show, “Rat In The Kitchen”. Also as the former host of the online series’ “Celebrity Test Kitchen” and “My Food Quest”, Chef Kristiahna proves herself to be a wealth of knowledge and a joy to watch.
She is the CEO, and Executive Chef of Platinum Desserts, an artisan dessert company. She has also created a sweet potato pie mix, which is the first in a line of mixes, for the Brown Girls Cook brand.
As a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, Chef Kristiahna has used her culinary creativity to cater for many well known celebrities over the years, taught cooking classes, and ultimately authored her own cookbook titled, “Let’s Say Grace”. Her mission is to rewrite what it means to be a woman of color in the culinary industry.
Chef Kristiahna continues to innovate and come up with solutions to help make cooking easier for everyone. Teaching people how to cook and sharing her knowledge is one of the things she loves doing the most. Her goal is to help people find joy in the kitchen and put love back into their food, and she’s doing just that!
